In order to guarantee a high quality extract, Powergrape® contains a standardized amount of flavanol monomers.
There are several reasons for this choice, based on an in-depth study of the scientific literature and the savoir-faire of Naturex in terms of the development of active ingredients.
The flavanol monomers, being the most abundant family of polyphenols in grapes, are a real quality indicator of the extracts obtained from this fruit.
In addition, analysis of flavanol monomers by HPLC (high performance liquid chromatography) gives repeatable, reproducible results, which means analysis of these moleculesis reliable.
 The powerful antioxidant property of flavanol monomers is now widely recognized in the scientific world. Various physiological properties, used in many health products, stem from this exceptional antioxidant power, providing protection against cell ageing and the disagreeable features related to it being but one example to be mentioned.
In order to guarantee the effectiveness of Powergrape®, it is important that the active molecules contained in it are bioavailable, i.e. absorbed into the organism after ingestion. This has been widely documented for flavanol monomers and their bioavailability is now scientifically proven.
